Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim will look to continue their good start to the season when they face off in the Bundesliga on Friday evening.
Aside from the late loss at home to Werder Bremen, where they squandered a two-goal lead in the 89th minute, Borussia Dortmund has had a positive start to the season. The Dortmunders have picked up three wins from their first four games and are now just one point behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
Dortmund vs Hoffenheim prediction
After the disappointing 2:3 defeat against Werder Bremen, Dortmund got revenge in the last Bundesliga match with a 1:0 win at Hertha Berlin. It was a much better performance in terms of structure and organization, with Anthony Modeste making the difference midway through the first half.
Even though manager Edin Terzic lost Erling Haaland in the summer, Dortmund has not been goal-scoring this season. They have scored a goal in every game so far, with youngster Youssoufa Moukoko and Anthony Modeste particularly impressive.
Hoffenheim has also had a good start to the season, having won three consecutive games since a 3-1 loss to Borussia Monchengladbach on the opening weekend. That's a big improvement from the start of last season when they won only once in their first five games.
Hoffenheim and the new coach have a lot of positivity, as no coach has scored more in his first four games than Andre Breittenreiter. Their last Bundesliga game was a 1-0 win over Dennis Geiger in Augsburg.
Like Dortmund, goals at Hoffenheim have not been a problem for them this season, as they have scored in all competitions. However, their opening-day win over Borussia Monchengladbach highlighted their poor travel record with a win in the Bundesliga's last six away games
