Liverpool vs Crystal Palace highlights, The final result of the match, the goals of Diaz and Zaha, Nunez's red card, and Jurgen Klopp's reaction.

Liverpool came from behind to draw 1-1 with Crystal Palace, four minutes after Darwin Nunez received a direct red card at Anfield on Monday evening.

Jurgen Klopp's side entered Monday night's match coming from a disappointing 2-2 draw against Fulham at the start of the Premier League season after the Reds imposed their dominance on the opening half hour, however, it was delayed when Wilfried Zaha beat Alisson with a good finish after a quick rebound from Palace.

The visitors fended off a series of late chances from the Liverpool team - who shot 17 shots towards the Crystal Palace goal in the first 45 minutes - as the end of the first half approached and took a 1-0 lead into the dressing room.

Why did Nunes get a red card?

Things got even worse for the hosts when they chased the equalizer in the second half before Nunez received a direct red card for attacking Palace defender Joachim Andersen with a header, it was shortly before the hour had passed, Nunez walked out leaving his team chasing the match with only ten players.

Liverpool regained their level minutes later despite falling to a man with a more than wonderful individual effort, Luis Diaz, who got the ball from the left flank, overcame a lot of Palace defenders maneuvering over the penalty area and shot the ball towards the goal with a rocket force, Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita could not stop it, to settle in the net.

Zaha had a great second chance to put Palace back in front in the 78th minute, but he shot it at the back post, he had received the ball from Cheikh Omar ducouri's cross through the area, which went away from Alisson's net to continue the tie.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner's statement after the match

Liverpool midfielder James Milner said after the match, " obviously, we always want to win our games, especially at home."I thought we started well and then got a little lost in the middle. Obviously, they have quality, they will always cause you problems at the break, which we could have defended better from this."

With this result, Liverpool is in 12th place with only two points from the first two rounds, four points behind the leader Manchester City, while Crystal Palace is in 16th place and has one point.

Liverpool also saw a run of nine consecutive wins in the Premier League opener, the Reds failing to win either of their first two Premier League games for the first time since 2012-13.

After the match, Palace boss Patrick Vieira was delighted to have left Anfield with a point, despite the opponent having played ten players in the last 30 minutes.

"In general we keep our organization disciplined - it's a really difficult place to come and try to present," Vieira said at the press conference. "The team's performance was really great and I'm happy for this team, the way they played today."
