 Novak Djokovic The Beginning

The world number one tennis player and six-time grand slam champion, Novak Djokovic was born on the 5th of June, 1987 in Serbia. He first achieved prominence as a junior player, winning the 2003 French Open boys' singles and doubles titles. He made his ATP debut the following year and has been a top-ten player in the world ever since. Over his career, he has won a total of twelve grand slam titles, three of which came in 2018.

The best tennis player on the planet, Novak Djokovic is an 18-time Grand Slam champion and the absolute greatest that the sport has ever seen. He’s won three of the last four titles at the Australian Open, including an incredible comeback victory in 2015, and has been the number-one ranked player in the world for more than a year. He has won more titles on hard courts than any other player in history, with 22 on the surface, and is one of the greatest returners in history. He is also one of the best defensive players in the game and is incredibly difficult to break down.

Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player

When Novak Djokovic steps onto the court, the stands erupt as if he was the greatest tennis player in the world. Arguably the greatest tennis player of all time, he has won a staggering twelve Grand Slam titles, six Australian Open titles, and six Wimbledon titles. He is the only man in history to reach the number 1 ranking in both singles and doubles and has won a staggering total of 70 titles. He has also won four Olympic gold medals, and two Davis Cup titles, and has been named the BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year a record-breaking five times.

Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest tennis players ever. The Serbian won his first major title at the 2019 French Open, and he has won more titles at that tournament than any other player. He has also won the French Open three times and has been runner-up on four other occasions. Over his career, he has won a remarkable 31 ATP titles.

Is Rafael Nadal better than Djokovic?

I think that Djokovic is the better player. Yes, Nadal has the better record, but I’m not sure he’s better on the court. He’s just more “lucky” in terms of breaking his opponents right and left. He has more consistency, but Djokovic is a better “chucker” when it comes to big points.

Yes, he is the better of the two. He has had more Grand Slams, more titles, and more impressive achievements than Nole. That being said, Nole is better at beating Nadal when they play on the same surface. But when they play at the same time, Nadal is slightly superior.

Comparison between Novak Djokovic and Federer

  • Novak Djokovic has had a lot of success with numerous Grand Slam titles and a string of impressive ATP Masters 1000 titles, but Roger Federer has had similar success despite coming up short at so many of them.
  • For example, Federer had the advantage of being seeded higher but reaching the final as a qualifier. Djokovic is a higher-ranked seed and reached the final without playing a single qualifying match. Djokovic had a better serve and volley percentage, and he served a lot better than Federer, especially in the second set of the semifinal against Federer.
  • The two players have faced off more times than any other two in the history of tennis, but have never met in a final. Federer leads the head-to-head 6-2, with their most recent meeting a year ago in the Australian Open final.
  • A final note which needs to be made, both Djokovic and Federer are top-ranked tennis players. Both are going to play each other at the 2016 US Open.
